Aadya kickstarted her career in the consulting sector with Deloitte's government consulting practice, and later diversified into quantitative research with a strong field presence. Her research has been in the domain of development economics, behavioral economics, and political economy, with an overlay of gender. She spent a year working on the field in Bihar, India on a randomized control trial with police officers.
Currently, Aadya is a research analyst with the Technology and Society Program at Carnegie India, where she works in tech policy research. She works in collaboration with the government, consulting firms, and other stakeholders to detail the implementation of the action points from G20 specifically around digital public infrastructure (DPI). Her otherarea of work in artificial intelligence (AI), specifically in understanding compute and its policy implications.
Apart from her work, she volunteers time as a mentor to young females in economics and public policy. She is a trained economist from ShriRam College of Commerce (SRCC) and Shiv Nadar Institute of Eminence.
