Himanshi Goel is an Independent Economics & Public Policy Consultant currently working with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) providing evidence-based programmatic and policy recommendations to governments, NGOs, and other UN agencies across gender, poverty, climate change and social protection etc. Previously, she conducted rigorous economic data analysis as part of the Economic Research team of Asian Development Bank (ADB). She has a year of experience working with Experian, an analytics/data science organisation, advising banks, Big 3 firms, NBFCs, and FinTechs on credit risk solutions using tools such as Python, R and Tableau. Alongside, she regular contributes articles to the economics columns for The Quint and The Public Economist. She is also a frequent public speaker having given more than five speeches, and guest lectures for organisations including SRCC, Kalindi College, Metvy and Nikore Associates, and a recent member of the Global Shapers Community, a World Economic Forum initiative. She holds a first-class master’s in economics from the Delhi School of Economics and a Gold Medal from her undergraduate economics at Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi.
