Swarnima is a trained lawyer and development professional. She is currently leading the Child Protection team with the Government of Maharashtra and UNICEF. Swarnima manages programs related to vulnerable children, intra-state migration and data-driven interventions in this space. Before her association with the government, Swarnima worked closely with Mumbai Police in rescuing trafficked children and with their rehabilitation.

She has drafted policies and implemented projects with the government related to child protection and development. In her free time, she likes to travel, mentor students and intermittently blog about her work with the government on LinkedIn.
